Details for the Street Fighter V Beta have been unveiled as well as which fighters will be available for the eager to get their hands on.

It was revealed via the PlayStation Blog that iconic characters such as Ryu, Chun Li, and M. Bison will be playable along with Charlie Nash, Cammy, and Birdie.

With the beta starting up on July 23rd in North America at 6:00 PM PT and July 24th at 2:00 AM GMT in Europe, it will span a total of 5 days exclusively for PS4 owners. Chun Li, M. Bison, Nash, and Ryu will be available as soon as the beta kicks off, planned to be followed shortly after by Cammy and Birdie on July 25th.

To be able to participate in the Street Fighter V Beta, hopefuls in the States will need to pre-order the game from GameStop, Amazon, Best Buy or the PSN, gaining them a key code on July 20th for download. Gamers in Latin America have the option to pre-order through PSN to participate. Those in Europe and Australia however while having no guarantee of a beta entry, are able to sign up by going here. Sign-ups for the beta close on July 15th, with those who are chosen being notified by July 24th.

The reasoning for the Street Fighter V Beta event is to test the game’s online functionality, so no local multiplayer will be available during this time. A small selection of stages will be available with the Bustling Side Street in China, the Terminal Station in London, and the Forgotten Waterfall in New Zealand as well as the Grid where players will be able to practice while waiting to be matched with an opponent.
